Alan Riding

Alan John Riding, 78, of Greensburg, died Friday, July 14, 2017 in Walden’s View Memory Care, North Huntingdon.  He was born in Bolton, England on May 3, 1939, a son of the late John Riding and Annie Frodsham Riding.  He was a veteran of the British Royal Air Force.  Alan was Catholic by faith.  Prior to retirement, he was employed as a semi-conductor engineering manager for Westinghouse/Powerex and managing director of CDSW, Ireland.  He loved to play soccer and golf and enjoyed woodworking.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Reneé Dufall. Alan is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Riding; daughter, Vanessa (Kurt) Rich of Buffalo, NY; son, Chris Riding (Maryann) of Pittsburgh; 4 grandchildren, Devon Rich, Duncan Riding, Luke Rich and Clayton Riding; 3 step-grandchildren, Gunnar, Ana and Griffin Bearley.  Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 4 until 7 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  A funeral liturgy will follow at 7PM in the funeral home.
