Allan G. Miller Jr., 86, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Allan G. Miller Sr. and Elizabeth (Burns) Miller. Allan was a member of Greensburg High School, class of 1946, and a graduate of Waynesburg College. He was a registered architect who continued to practice until the last few years of his life, and designed many buildings in the area. Allan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greensburg and Westmoreland Masonic Lodge 518. He had a lifelong passion for aviation. In addition to his parents, Allan was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Miller Warren. Surviving are his loving wife, Norma (Russell) Miller; son, Allan G. Miller III; daughter, Diane Lee Minard and husband, Jeffrey; grandchildren, Abigail and Maxwell; and his faithful dog, Duffy. The family would like to thank Susan and Melissa for laughter and care in his last weeks of his life and also thank his church for the committed help and comfort they provided. Honoring Allan's wishes, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 152 Twin Run Road, Greensburg, PA 15601. Interment will take place in Twin Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
