Earl William Amour, 67, of Kittanning, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in the Melody Manor Personal Care Home, Kittanning, where he was a resident. Earl served in the Navy from 1970 to 1974, serving on the USS Severn. He had a love for music and had a God given talent for playing the piano and organ. He used those talents playing the organ for church services or at any function where there was a piano present. He entertained the residence at Melody Manor playing the piano every Friday afternoon. He loved it when family or friends would gather round and join in singing. Earl attended the First United Methodist Church in Kittanning where he was the church organist. He served on the fundraising committee to purchase a new organ. Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Raymaley Amour, in 1964; and father, John W Amour, in 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Rose (Jason) Bemak, of Killeen, Texas; sisters, Ruth (Ralph) Reitmeyer, of Llano, Texas, and Malinda (John) Sherid, of Greensburg; also survived by stepmother, Mayme Amour. The family would like to thank the staff at Melody Manor for the loving care they provided to Earl during his stay with them. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wade Berkley officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Should friends desire, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 301 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA 16201. Please write in the memo "organ fund IMO Earl Amour" or a charity of one's choice.
