James A. “Jim” Fry, 81, of Greensburg, died, Tuesday, February 07, 2017 in Westmoreland Manor. He was born in Scottdale, a son of the late James Russell “Junior” Fry and Mildred G. Adams Fry. Jim was a 1953 graduate of East Huntingdon High School, now known as Southmoreland High School. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for 44 years. He was a member of Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a volunteer at the Palace Theatre and the Westmoreland Arts and Heritage Festival. He loved to travel and early in life, loved skiing. Jim is survived by his wife, Rosemary Avampato Fry; his daughter, Vickie Fry (Ed) of Greensburg; grandchildren, Cory and Brenan Ramler; a sister, Doris Ann Lowe (Wally) of Scottdale; also, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.
