Joseph Reed, Jr.

Joseph R. Reed Jr., 61, of Irwin, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. He was born Oct. 24, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Shirley A. (King) and Joseph R. Reed Sr. Joey was a very active member of Keystone Church in Greensburg. Prior to retirement, he worked as an engineer for Conrail Railroad and also worked for Norfolk Southern. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Joseph R. Reed III and Brock D. Reed; grandson, Zachary D. Reed; granddaughter, Dehlilah R. Miller; brother, David B. Reed Sr.; sisters, Patricia Ann Havash and Kathy Sue Immel; and several nieces and nephews. Joey didn't like to wear suits; he enjoyed sports shirts and bright socks. In honor of his memory, his family asks that everyone dresses informally. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, 2901 Memorial Blvd., Connellsville, PA 15425. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or contributions may be made to the Keystone Church, 22 Westview Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.
