Kay Yvonne Tapper, 76, a lifelong resident of Greensburg, peacefully went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Greensburg Care Center.
She was born September 29, 1939 in Crabtree a daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Stahl) Silvis.
Kay retired from Cards and Sweets in Greensburg, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her Bible, watching Christian television and caring for her dog, Paco.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Tapper, a daughter, Yvonne L. Butina and two brothers and four sisters.
Kay is survived by a daughter, Kimberly; a son, Jack Tapper Jr.; eight grandchildren, Ed, Emily, Jackie, Lauren Edmonds and husband, Jeff, Kristen, Allyna, Haley and Jacob; a great-grandson, Jace; a great-granddaughter, Kailyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Paco.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 Main St., Greensburg where services will be held on Thursday at 10:30am.
Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tapper family 108 Silvis Farm Road, Greensburg, PA 15601 to assist with her medical costs.
