Mary Jane “MJ” Bytheway, 85 of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born January 13, 1931 in Greensburg a daughter of the late Charles and Christine (Hamilton) Dahlmann.

MJ was a woman of deep faith and was a member of the Tetelestai Church in New Kensington.  She was always active whether volunteering at the Arnold Palmer Cancer Center or enjoying friends in her bridge clubs.  She also participated in aerobics and was an avid golfer.  MJ was a friend to many and had a wonderful sense of humor, but above all she treasured being a mother and grandmother and always shared how proud she was of them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Bytheway; two sons, Scott and Rob Bytheway; three brothers, Charles, Jim and Jack Dahlmann and two sisters, Margaret Randolph and Christine Murphy.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Pam Cengia and her husband Denny; three grandchildren, Suzanne Cengia and her fiancé Greg Gillespie; Tim Cengia and Doug Cengia and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to MJ’s Memorial Service on Monday at 10:30 am in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg with Pastor Rick Knapp officiating.  Memorials may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army 1101 5th Ave, New Kensington, PA 15068 or Tetelestai Church 899 E. Hill Drive, New Kensington, PA 15068.
