Sally Sommer

Sally Louise Sheets Sommer, 87 of Greensburg, passed away, September 18, 2018.

She was born June 6, 1931 in Wooster, Ohio to the late H. Grant Sheets and Mary Jolliff Sheets.

Sally was a graduate of Wooster High School. She married Robert J. Sommer November 29, 1958. He was from the Smithville, Ohio area. His job transfers with International Paper Co. moved them to Cincinnati in 1958 then to Greensburg in 1962. Sally worked as a secretary in Wooster at Bauer Mfg. Co., in Cincinnati at Avco Electronics and Ordinance, and in Greensburg at Old Republic Insurance Co. and at various locations as an office temp.

She served as Cub Scout den mother and Hempfield School library aid. She was a member of First Christian Church in Greensburg.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her sons, John and wife, Diana of Greensburg and Steven and wife, Ann of York, PA; grandchildren, Chelsea and Taylor Stauffer, Kelly Sommer and her fiancé Logan Hoak, Grant Sommer and Lauren Sommer.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg where services will be held on Friday at 10am.
