Sybil D. Williamson, 89, of Greensburg died March 26, 2016, in the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg.  She was born on March 2, 1927 in Elyria, Ohio, a daughter of the late Glenn N. and Litta T. Davis.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Maurice M. Williamson; a son, David G. Williamson of Greensburg; her daughter, Lynne W. Cybulak (Stephen) of Lincoln, Mass; and a granddaughter, Kasey E. Cybulak.  Mrs. Williamson graduated from the American School Foundation of Mexico City, Mexico and from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio with a BS degree in Dietetics.  She worked as a home economist for the Ohio Edison Company in Elyria, Ohio, prior to her marriage.  With her family, she lived in St. Louis, Missouri, New Orleans, Louisiana, The Hague, Netherlands, London, England, as well as, Greensburg.  Mrs. Williamson was past president of the Westmoreland Garden Club and a National Council Master Flower Show Judge.  She was a member of the Designers Guild of Greensburg, Floral Arrangers of America and Friends Who Count.  Sybil was an avid needle worker and gardener.  She had many interests and talents.  She was an excellent seamstress and made many lovely dresses for her daughter when she was young.  She made her daughter’s wedding dress using Belgian lace as a veil bought while living in Holland.  Sybil studied tailoring while living in St. Louis, decoupage in New Orleans, painting while in Holland and London’s history while there.  Many examples of her fine needlework are framed and on display in her home.  She loved books and traveling, especially cruising and had a passion for the New York Times crossword puzzle, which she did every week.  A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 14 at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street from 10:30am til the time of Sybil’s memorial service at 11:30am. Kepple-Graft Funeral Home entrusted with the funeral arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greensburg Garden Center, 951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, PA 15601 or to a charity of one’s choice.
