Agnes Kay

Agnes L. Kay, 92, of York, PA, formerly of Greensburg, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in her home at Normandie Ridge, York, PA.  In addition to her parents, brothers and sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard Kay; her daughter, Cheryl Stawovy and her son, Kurt Kay.  She is survived by her daughter, Kathi Lenart (Ron); sons, Craig Kay (Lynne) and Roger Kay (Connie) , son-in-law, Tim and daughter-in-law Karla; 14 grandchildren, Melissa Heiden (Bob), Matt Lenart (Sarah), Jarrod Kay, Derek Kay (Jessica), Erica Schrading (Justin), Ross Kay (Mandy), Asa and Liv Kay, Luke Stawovy (Lauren), Niki Detweiler (Dayne), Bria Stawovy, Abby and Cameron Kay and Eli Martin; 8 great grandchildren, Josie and Caden Lenart, Maddie, Paige and Owen Heiden, Major Kay, Hannah and Kate Stawovy; also, a number of nieces and nephews.  Agnes was an avid golfer, loved to do puzzles and go to the casino.  Her favorite activity was playing cards with her grandkids.  She would never cheat to let them win but prayed that they would.  She was generous with her time and gifts to her loved ones.  Per her loving son, “She left Moss Creek but it never left her”.  Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 5 to 7 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  A blessing service for Agnes will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 10, 2022 in the funeral home.  Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cheryl Kay Foundation, 661 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139,  https://cherylkayfoundation.org .
