Albert O. (Skip) Howell, 85 of Greensburg, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at his home.
He was born June 14, 1924 in Greensburg, a Son of the late Edward and Kathryn (Bitz) Howell.
Skip was a graduate of Greensburg High School and
prior to his retirement he worked in Management for Robertshaw Control Co. of New Stanton.
Skip had served in the Navy during WW II as a torpedo man 2nd class on the USS Breaman.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg the Robertshaw Retiree's club, the South Greensburg American Legion post # 981, and the VFW post #33.
In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Howell and three children, Patty Howell and husband Steve of Maryland, Peggy Falcon and husband Jack of Michigan and Penny Howell, of Wisconsin and five Grandsons, Jesse and Joshua Falcon, Conor McElroy and wife Crystal, Colin McElroy and Lisa Zodrow and Campbell McElroy and one great grandson Cameron McElroy.
Family and friends will be received Thursday 4-7 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Inc. 524 North Main St.,Greensburg.
A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home, on Friday at 10 AM with Rev. Dr. Duane Morford officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park with full military services accorded by the VFW Post 33 of Greensburg.
