Alice G. Kessler, 91, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015. She was born October 14, 1923, in New Stanton, daughter of the late William and Irene (Miller) Griffith. She was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School.
Alice was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Order of Eastern Star. Along with her late husband, Alice was the owner of The Village Inn restaurant in Adamsburg, PA for 23 years. Prior to owning the Village Inn she was Executive Housekeeper for Mountain View Inn and previously Buyer for Royers Department Store.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack E. Kessler, and ten siblings. She is survived by one sister, Alberta Chilcote; three children, Jack E. Kessler Jr. (Ginny), of Florida, Lynn G. Kessler (Donna), of Indiana, and Renee C. Kessler, of Greensburg; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Services will be held on Thursday at First Christian Church, Greensburg at 11:00 am with Dr. Renny Domske officiating (EVERYONE PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH).
Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
