Alyce M. Yeskey, 89 of Greensburg, passed away, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Oak Hill Nursing Center. She was born August 1, 1920 in Ligonier a daughter of the late Theodore and Bertha McKowen Clawson.
Alyce was a retired employee of Wesmoreland County Domestic Relations and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Berl K. Yeskey, Sr on November 5, 2009; her daughter, Linda Lee Yeskey ; three sisters, Mary Cameron, Esther Reed and Martha Evans and a brother, Raymond Clawson.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Yancey and husband William of South Greensburg; her son, Berl K. Yeskey and wife Nancy of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Kimberly Strashensky and husband John; Todd Yancey and wife Tricia; Justin Yeskey and Deanna Yeskey; a great-granddaughter, Ella Yancey and two great-grandsons, Joseph Strashensky and Chase Ramsay and a sister, Patricia Rupert and husband Richard of Derry.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 am in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Duane Morford officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation , 1100 Liberty Ave. Suite E-201 Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Terence L. Graft, funeral director, entrusted with the arrangements. The Yancey family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff at Oak Hill Nursing Center for their care and compassion.
