Angela Marie Rose Rullo (née Montuori), aged 82, passed away peacefully and surrounded with love on December 13, 2024, in Greensburg, PA, the city where she was born, married her devoted husband of 59 years, Nick, and together happily raised their three children. Known as “Nonnie” to her grandchildren, Angela was a beacon of goodness, touching lives with her positivity, kindness, and genuine care for others.
The elder daughter of the late Domenic Montuori and Ella (Salvatore), Angela attended high school at St. Xavier Academy in Latrobe, PA where she was honored as the May Queen her senior year, attended Mount Mercy College in Pittsburgh, PA, and went on to earn a degree in Child Psychology from Seton Hill College. Following graduation, Angela worked as a personnel manager at Troutman's Department Store before channeling her love of children into teaching fifth and sixth grades at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral (now Aquinas Academy). After teaching for many years, she and her sister, Donna, became the third generation of the Montuori family to own the Rialto Café – a longtime Greensburg gathering spot - where she warmly welcomed all.
A member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral parish, Angela's Catholic faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother were a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as cooking for her family, celebrating the holidays with loved ones, listening to Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, laughing, and anything that sparkled—a testament to her loving and vibrant personality. Above all, Angela cherished time spent with her grandchildren, who were central to her life and will carry her indelible spirit forward.
Angela is survived by her beloved husband, Nicholas P., children Maria Bernier (James), Nicholas D. Rullo (Lisa), and John Rullo (Kristin); daughter-in-law Cherie Rullo; grandchildren Nicholas A., Domenic, Elizabeth, Jack, Luke, Peter, Katie, and Julian Rullo, and Gabriella and James Bernier; step grandchildren Will (Briana) Maschmeyer and great grandson Jack, and Brady Mason; sister Donna Ferry Koenig (Larry); nephew Richard Ferry (Gabrielle) and their children Ella, Leo, and Annie; and many dear friends and cousins who were always a special part of her life.
The family would like to extend its appreciation to the staff of St. Anne Home especially to Christina, Cindy, Ramona, and Lori, all of whom provided such wonderful, loving care.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4 to 8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg.
