Anna Marie McFeeley, 92, a long-time resident of the Greensburg area and more recently of Gaithersburg Maryland, passed away on November 2, 2015.
Born in 1923 in Crabtree, Anna Marie was an active member of the community and an involved volunteer working with organizations including Blessed Sacrament Cathedral School Library and PTA; Girl Scout Council of Westmoreland, American Red Cross of Westmoreland County, Diocese of Greensburg Catholic Committee on Scouting, Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Rosary Confraternity, Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, and the American Library Association/American Association of School Librarians.
She is survived by her daughter Ann McFeeley of Gaithersburg MD, her son Robert J. McFeeley of Westlake OH, and her granddaughter Kate McFeeley a senior at Loyola Chicago. She is also survived by her foster son's wife Brigitte Gridler of Lancaster CA. and his three sons and grandchildren of Palmdale and Lancaster CA; her son Richard's wife, Leslie Hlad of Irwin; sisters Ellie Yearsley of Export PA and Lynn Kohl of Atlanta, GA; her brother in law John McFeeley of Greensburg and numerous nephews and nieces.
Anna Marie was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. McFeeley, her son Richard McFeeley, her foster son Richard Gridler, her brother Nicholas Matro and her sister, Sr. Mary Nicholas SC
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am at St. Bartholomew's Church in Crabtree, PA on Thursday November 12, 2015.
Memorial donations may be made to the Montgomery County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA), P.O. Box 637, Washington Grove, MD 20880 where Anna Marie had been volunteering during her years in Maryland.
