Anne Hild

Anne Marie (Kravanja) Hild, 97 of Greensburg, passed away on August 26, 2009 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA.Born March 25, 1912 in Gladbeck ( Essen) Germany, she was the daughter of the late John and Kristina (Fleiss) Kravanja. Anne Marie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greensburg. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who enjoyed cooking and tending her vegetable and flower gardens.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry R. Hild on December 31, 1998; two sisters, Christine Smith and Amelia Peay; and a brother John Kravanja.She is survived by a daughter Lyda A. Jones and husband Michael of Greensburg, Two Sons, Henry Hild and his wife Leslie of Bronxville, N.Y.; Charles Hild and wife Arlene of Olean, N.Y., a Grandson, Stephan H. Hild of Reno, Nevada and several nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the staff and administration at Hempfield Manor for all their care and compassion during the past several years and also our thanks to everyone at the New Haven Court Lindwood when she resided there.At the families request, there will be no public visitation. Private services will be held with interment to be in the Freeport Cemetery in Freeport,PA.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 15 W. Second St. Greensburg, PA 15601 or a charity of ones choice.Kepple-Graft Funeral Home of Greensburg entrusted with the arrangements.
