Antoinette D. Govora

Antoinette D. (Emanuel) Govora, 91 of Greensburg, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at Westmoreland Hospital on Thursday, September 12, 2024. She was born July 11, 1933 to the late Domenick and Teresa (Izzi) Emanuel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Steve J. Govora, Jr.; her sisters, Mary Penzera and Nellie Salvatore; and a grandson, Richard Govora. She is survived by her children, Carol, Steve (Lori), and Daniel (Kathy); grandchildren, Jennifer Gavin (Charles), Daniel Govora Jr., Christina Smith (Jeremy), Steve Govora (Jessica), Dr. Matthew Govora (Sarah) and Gina Pitman (Matthew); and 14 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Logan Gavin, Daniel, Noah, Giada and Anna Govora, Lucy Smith, Nathan and Domenick Govora and James, Juliana, Luke, Marie, and Claire Pitman. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree and she was very devout in her faith. She was happiest spending time with her family especially making spaghetti and homemade buns. She was proud of her Italian heritage and looked forward to Idlewild Park's Italian Day every year. She and her husband, loved dogs and enjoyed having many over the years. She was a wonderful storyteller and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will sorely miss hearing the stories of her life's adventures. Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 16th from 4 to 7pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. Prayers of transfer will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 17th at 9:15 am followed by a funeral mass at 10 am in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church 2538 US-119, Crabtree, PA 15624.
