Arlene J. Wohlin of Greensburg, died Thursday, June 1, 2023. She was born March 31, 1937, in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late John and Janet (Greer) McCullough. She is survived by and was the devoted wife of Leslie Theodor (Ted) Wohlin and mother of John (Debra) Wohlin and Cathy (Randy) Smith; she was the loving grandmother and Nanny to Jessica (Mike) Starrett, Eric Schreiber, Dan Schreiber, John Wohlin, Jr., Ted Wohlin, and Ben Wohlin; she was the adoring great grandmother of Harrison Michael Starrett. She is also survived by many that considered her to be a sister, aunt, mother, or grandmother. She loved her family, friends, and church. She lived a blessed life and was thankful. She was a member of St. Matthias Church, Greensburg where she spent many hours volunteering her time. She was proud of her Canadian heritage and citizenship, which she maintained until 1995, but was equally proud of her adopted country. Arlene was an active part of the Greensburg Country Club where she had many friends among the membership and the staff. She enjoyed reading and supported the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library. She also enjoyed gardening, tea time, and spending happy hour with her friends. Arlene loved cooking and being with her family the most, especially around the holidays. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her lifelong friend Marilyn Wagner. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers that helped her through the final stages of her life on earth. With Arlene’s passing, the world has lost a great friend and heaven is now filled with a little more class, kindness, and love. Family friends will be received from 3 to 7 pm Friday, June 9, 2023, at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. Additional visitation will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 9 to 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by Arlene’s funeral service at 11 am at St. Matthias Lutheran Church, 100 Chapel View Drive, Greensburg. Entombment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
