Beatrice (Puskar) Grates, 71, of New Kensington formerly of Greensburg passed away Thursday August 14, 2014 in the Allegheny Valley Hospital.
She was born on January 7, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ellen (Rodibaugh) Puskar. Bea enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Tarentum Eagles, Elks and VFW auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband Thomas A. Grates and her daughters, Gina Hoyle and Lisa Spagnuolo and stepchildren Thomas Grates V, Tracy Lynn Gustafson and Sandy Grates. Her sisters Loretta Iannuzzo, Christine Dreistadt, Priscilla Shaffer and Mary Ann Bradford along with a brother George Puskar, a half-brother, Robert Shuster and eight step-grandchildren
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10 am followed by a graveside service in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
