Carl E. Knopsnyder 85 of Bovard passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital..
He was born in Greensburg on 9/7/1924 and was the son of the late John and Hazel Miller Knopsnyder.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Brant Knopsnyder and a brother John Knopsnyder.
Carl is survived by his two sons, Carl B. Knopsnyder and wife Eugenia of Greensburg and Paul D. Knopsnyder and wife Dorothy (Jolly) of Greensburg and three grandchildren, Paul R. Knopsnyder, Amanda Carlucci and husband Justin all of Greensburg and Nicole Fry and husband Marc of Greensburg. He loved to talk about his great grandchildren Dylan, Bailey and Brayden Fry and Brett and Lily Carlucci. Also his friend Beverly Tomaso.
Family and Friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home,524 N. Main St. Greensburg on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with additional visitation on Wednesday at the Harold Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike Greensburg from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a service in the church with Pastor Robert Free officiating.
Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Diabetes Association.
