Carol Goodlin, 76, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday morning at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Circleville, OH on October 9, 1937, to the late John and Dorothy VanDervort.
Carol is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ron Goodlin.
When Carol first moved to Greensburg in 1968, she and her family settled in the Mountain View area.
In 1981 she and Ron moved to the Hempfield area so the couple could enjoy their country home.
Carol graduated from Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School and worked at the Westmoreland County Courthouse for many years.
She was a long time member of St. John's Harrold Reformed United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Women's Bible Study group. She enjoyed following the Steelers, working in the couple's garden and spending time visiting with friends and family, often on the home's back porch.
Carol leaves two sons, Matt Loveridge and his wife Connie of Seattle and Mark Loveridge and his wife Rosann of Tucson and their children Michael and Annabelle.
In addition, Carol leaves an extended family including Ron, Jr. of Amarillo, TX, Bill and Carol Goodlin of Mt. Pleasant, Dave and Stacey Goodlin of Ruffsdale, Yolanda and Dave Grippo of Armbrust, along with 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held Saturday at noon at St. John's Church with the Rev. Dr. Paul Westcoat officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. John's Church, 103 St. John's Church Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
