Charleen A. Rhome

Charleen A. Rhome, 66 of Export, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024.
 
She was born July 28,1957 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Louis Schmidt and Audrey Smail Schmidt.
 
Charleen was a member of the Greensburg Church of the Brethren. She worked various jobs including Carney's Corner, Hap’s Place and GetGo.
 
Charleen loved her family and was an unofficial foster mother who took care of everybody and was loved by all.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Marie Rhome Recklein and sister, Blanche Marshall.
 
Surviving are her daughter, Tonya Rhome (Robert Spigler); son, David J. Rhome, Jr. (Amanda Gindlesperger); her beloved grandchildren, Kyle Rhome (Ashley Cross), Chevelle Kovatch, and Dakota Rhome; great-grandchildren, Keagen, Kaedyn, Axel, Atticus, and Raiden; sister, Linda Grabb (the late Edward Grabb); brothers, Louis Schmidt (the late Debra Schmidt) and Dwayne Schmidt (Nanette Schmidt); son-in-law, David Recklein; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Honoring Charleen's wishes services will be private.
 
Her family asks in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County PO Box 1552, Greensburg, PA 15601 in honor of her love of animals.
