Charles T. Baker, 92 of Greensburg, passed away, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his residence.

He was born October 22, 1924 in South Greensburg a son of the late Charles T. Baker Sr. and Ethel M. Baker.

Charles was a graduate of Greensburg High School Class of 1943,graduate of the U.S. Army Air Force Aviation Cadet P. Lot School in February 1944, and a graduate of the Keeler Polygraph Institute, Chicago 1962.

Prior to retirement in 1983, Charles worked for the Pennsylvania State Police for 38 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greensburg. Charles served United State Army Air Force 498th Bombardment group, 844th Squadron Eighth Air Force, Halesworth England, pilot B-24 type aircraft.

He was a life member of BPOE Lodge 511, Greensburg, VFW Post 33, Greensburg, American Legion Post 981, South Greensburg, National Rifle Association, and a member of the FOP Lodge 62 PA State Police. He was also a member of QB's Quiet Birdman, Pittsburgh Hanger and a life member of the Second Air Division Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Twyla M. Baker and sister, Dorothy Beck.

Honoring Charles' wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 10:30am in the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg with Rev. W. Stephen Morse officiating.

Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park with military honors provided by VFW Post 33 of Greensburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church 15 E.Second Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.
