Charlotte Fennell

September 8, 1921 — July 10, 2011

Charlotte Hoffman Fennell, 89 of SW Greensburg, passed away July 10, 2011 at the Greater Pittsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hempfield Twp. She was born in Greensburg on Sept. 8, 1921 and was the daughter of the late William and Rachael (Truxal) Hoffman. Charlotte was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Catherine Boarts Class of the church, a former volunteer for the Westmoreland Hospital and former member of the Westmoreland Hospital Ladies Auxillary. Charlotte was a gifted pianist and taught piano lessons for more than 35 years. She was an avid walker, enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, was a positive thinker with a real zest for life.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Seanor Fennell in 2002 and her twin brothers Kenneth and Keith Hoffman along with brothers Robert,William and Richard Hoffman and a sister Joanne Frye. Surviving are her son Kenneth Fennell and wife Leslie of SW Greensburg, daughter Sally Robbins of New York City, granddaughter Erin Fetter and her husband Tim and great-grandson Owen of Greensburg; step-grandchildren Jennifer Beck and her daughters Andie and Allie, and Ethan Shirey, his wife Cheryl, their daughter Chelsea Mabry and her son Eli.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.
Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Donna Havrisko officiating. Interment will follow at Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Charlotte's memory to Westminster Presbyterian Church,1120 Harvey Ave., Greensburg, PA 15601. Terence L.
