Cherub Beth Straigis, 42, of Greensburg, formerly of Sweet Valley, PA, died on Sunday July 23, 2017 in UPMC Magee Hospital, Pittsburgh after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. She was born December 3, 1974 in Kingston, PA, a daughter of Donald Honeywell and Colleen Wandel Honeywell. She was a graduate of Lake Lehman High School and attended Bloomsburg University. Cherub was a member of Sweet Valley Church of Christ and was realtor for Century 21. Her passion was for softball in which she played and coached her whole life. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was a fantastic cook. She loved her family more than life itself. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jay Straigis; her children, Jack and Josie Straigis; a brother, Chad Honeywell; her nieces and nephews, Aiden and Haley Straigis and Chad and Lucy Honeywell; her dog, Cally and cat, Sparky. Friends and family may call from 1pm-4pm on Saturday August 5, 2017 at Sweet Valley Church of Christ, 5439 Main Road, Sweet Valley, PA 18656, where a celebration service of Cherub’s life will be held at 4pm.
