Christine Shank

Christine L. (Yutzy) Shank, 86, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2020, in Westmoreland Manor. She was born June 17,1934, in Adamsburg, and was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Rebecca Simpson Yutzy. Christine was a 1952 graduate of Norwin High School. She was retired meter repair employee with the City of Greensburg. She had been one of the original school crossing guards in Greensburg. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greensburg and a volunteer for the RSVP, Christian Layman's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Harry" Shank, and a son, Ralph "Ric" Shank., also a brother, Paul Yutz, and sisters, Jean Yutzy and Ruth Staub. Christine is survived by her son, John M. (Sandy) Shank, four grandchildren, Derek Lee (Danielle) Shank, Amanda (Spencer) Flynn, John (Kandace) Gettins and Charles Gettins, 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Shirley (Donald) Wiley, along with numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Westmoreland Manor for all of their loving care for their mother for the last several years. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Interment to follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park.
