Constance Louise “Connie” Madarish, 63, of Greensburg, died, Friday, February 14, 2025, in Westmoreland Hospital. She was born April 27, 1961, in Yukon, a daughter of the late Lewis Ometz and Elizabeth Ometz. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Edward Bilik. She was the loving wife of Terrance Lee “Terry” Madarish and beloved mother to Terrance Lewis “Terry” Madarish. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Cigich (Edward) and her brother, Lewis Ometz (Charlotte) and 2 nieces, Terri and Tammy Ometz and her nephew, Lewis Ometz; great niece, Randi; also, her mother-in-law, Marcella Bilik. Connie was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a schoolteacher at Aquinas Academy and the preschool program at Hempfield Parks and Recreation. She loved teaching music, arts, and science to children and was affectionately known as “Miss Connie”. Throughout her life, Connie was the rays of sunshine to the people around her. She brought joy, warmth, and brightened up every life she touched, and she had never hesitated to lend a hand. Her memory, love, and compassion will live on. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 pm until 7 pm in Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. A funeral mass for Connie will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 North Main Street, Greensburg. Everyone is asked to go directly the church.
