D. Louise Elder, 88, of Greensburg, died Saturday, August 29, 2015 in her home. She was born in Latrobe on December 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Franklin and Delphia Ansell Poole. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Church, Trauger. Louise was a member of the Midway-St. Clair V.F.D. Lady's Auxilliary. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and card club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, William C. Elder in 2000; a son John Elder and daughter Edith Mallin; 7 brothers, Franklin, John, William, Walter, Samuel, Theodore and Francis Poole; 6 sisters, Nellie Shick, Stella Cook, infant sister Pauline, Emma Smeltzer, Isabell Harr and Vivian Freeman. Louise was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her sons, Theodore J. Elder (Joyce) of Whaleyville, MD, Joseph P. Elder (Sandra) of Greensburg and Barry R. Elder (Mary) of Greensburg; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren; daughter in law, Bonnie Elder and son in law, Leonard Mallin; also, scores of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. Louise's funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. Paul Evangelical Church, 108 Dutch Hill Road, Latrobe (Trauger), PA with Rev. Mark A Werner officiating.
