David William Gongaware, 64 of Greensburg, passed away, Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his residence.
He was born November 19, 1948 in Greensburg, son of the late Howard D. and Lois Ann (Johnson) Gongaware.
David was in the Marines from 1968-1972 and was a member of American Legion Post 981 of South Greensburg.
He worked as a warehouse man for 39 years at Harvey Valley Propane Gas Co.
Surviving are his sons, David W. Gongaware Jr. and wife, Donnie of Greensburg and Scott E. Gongaware and wife, Delia Deocampo of Breckenridge, CO, granddaughter, Heather L. Gongaware of Greensburg, grandson, Eric D. Gongaware of Breckenridge, CO, his siblings, Kathy Muisiner, Robert Gongaware and wife, Sandra, James Gongaware and wife, Kathleen, Karen Avampato and husband, Samuel, Carol Jamison and husband, Andrew, Steven Gongaware and wife, Karen, Judy McMichael, and also numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring David's wishes visitation will be private.
Services will be held on Wednesday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg at 2:00 pm with Rev. Cliff Hockensmith officiating.
Interment will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park with military honors provided by American Legion Post 981.
