David Brown McCormick, 43, of Pittsburgh, died unexpectedly in Jamaica on March 22nd.
David was born on July 18, 1970 in Greensburg, PA. He was the son of Linda and Timothy McCormick.
David was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High school and had attended Penn State University.
David shared his father's passion for politics and was an active member of the Democratic Party. He served as a Congressional Aid to the late U.S. Congressman Frank Mascara from 1996 to 2000. He transitioned to lead a successful telecommunications career for the past 13 1/2 years.
David was generous with his money and time through donations and volunteerism to the homeless and underprivileged communities. He was also a contributor to both Animal Friends of Pittsburgh and the Humane Society of Westmoreland County.
David was predeceased by his father Timothy J. McCormick and grandparents Beatrice and Hon. Richard E. McCormick.
He is immediately survived by his mother Linda (Markle) McCormick, sisters Meghan (Mike) Denny and Emily (Samir) Saba and nephew Luca Saba, his grandparents Margaret and Gilbert Markle as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donations can be made to the Animal Friends of Pittsburgh or the Humane Society of Westmoreland County.
A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
