David P. McMullan, 62, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, surrounded by his family.
David was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Bethel Park. David attended Saint Vincent College, where he met the love of his life, Denise (Orlandi) McMullan. David loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and finally got to see a winning season. He will be remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh and his selfless generosity.
He was predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Wilhelmina McMullan; father-in-law, Domenick Orlandi; and sister, Kathy.
In addition to his beloved wife, David leaves behind son, Domenick, his wife, Stephi (Stephanic), and their four children, Amber, Erich, Domenick and Sean; daughter, Kelly (McMullan) Newsted, her husband, Nathaniel Newsted; son, Ryan McMullan; son, Christopher McMullan; sister, Mary McMullan; brothers, Robert and Stewart McMullan; mother-in-law, Dolores Orlandi; and brother-in-law, Norman Orlandi. He is also survived by numerous cousins; nieces; and nephews.
"My Dear Sweet David: I guess Heaven was needing a hero, somebody just like you. Brave enough to stand up for what you believe and follow it though. When I try to make it make sense in my mind, the only conclusion I come to is that Heaven was needing a hero like you. Heaven was needing a hero that's you. I love you with all of my heart, Denise."
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday from at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 North Main St., Greensburg.
A prayer service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, in the funeral home, followed by a mass at 10 a.m., in St. Bruno Church, South Greensburg.
