David William Sarver Jr., 80, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at his home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Greensburg, a son of the late David William and Iris (Kunkle) Sarver.
David was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greensburg. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, hunting and gardening. David served as a corporal in the Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a lineman for West Penn Power.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, A. Fay (Shuey) Sarver; an infant son, Wesley; and brother, Dale Sarver. Surviving are his son, David W. Sarver IV and wife, Sandy, of Greensburg; a daughter, Rebecca Olson and husband, Jeremy, of New Alexandria; grandchildren, David V, Daniel and Audra Sarver; brothers, Dwight and Ronald Sarver; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601. Services will be held at noon Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Chaffee officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 981, South Greensburg.
