Don F. Manns, 77 of Greensburg passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Mountainview Specialty Care Center. Born October 3, 1934 in West Mifflin, PA, he was the youngest boy in a family of fourteen. He was a U.S. Army veteran honorably discharged in December 1956. He graduated from Penn State in 1961. He was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. for more than thirty years.
He married Scotte Harris September 23, 1961. They shared forty-eight years together... "the best years of my life." Although they were not blessed with children of their own, they were very devoted to all members of the Harris and Manns families. In retirement, they enjoyed traveling the world with friends and family.
He was a member of Our Lady of Grace church in Greensburg. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Scotte, June 18, 2010. He is survived by brothers, Frederick Manns and Lucius Manns and sisters, Ann Kibelbek and Sonia Garchak and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4pm and from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME (an authorized remembrance provider) 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. A funeral mass will be held 10:30am Monday at Our Lady of Grace Chuch with Father Paul Lisik officiating.
