Donald W. Rumbaugh Sr. 91 of Jeannette died Wednesday 3/5/2014 in Greensburg Care Center. He was born on 5/19/1922 in Hempfield Township and was the son of the late Lester and Caroline Baker Rumbaugh. Don had served in the Navy during WW II and was a retired employee of the Robertshaw Control Co. in New Stanton. Don was a member of the South Greensburg United Methodist Church and he enjoyed his garden and especially raising his Gladiola's and his beagles. He also enjoyed his days fishing and hunting .
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Sharon and a sister Glessen Banrofchezk.
He is survived by his loving wife Maralyn Mears Rumbaugh and four sons, Donald (Barbara) Rumbaugh, Barry (Sandie) Rumbaugh, Rodney (Karen) Rumbaugh , Mark (Melinda) Rumbaugh and eight grandchildren, Kimberly (Jared) Ewing, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Rumbaugh, David (Renee) Rumbaugh, Megan (Carl) Hayward, Breanne (Kyle) Milligan, Renee (Michael) Eisaman, Nicholas (Randi) Rumbaugh and Amber Rumbaugh and fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a sister Jane Linden and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Rev. Jack Tickle officiating. Interment with military honors accorded by the VFW Post # 33 will follow in the Hillview Cemetery.
