Donna Brashear Kier, 66, of Greensburg PA and Charleston SC, fell asleep peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, September 14, 2009. Donna was a faithful member of the Maplewood Presbyterian Church, where she was Circle Chairman and served as a deacon and an elder. Before her retirement, she worked devotedly at Smail Auto Group in various positions for twenty years.
Donna's greatest pleasure was her close relationship with her sons, in whom she took great pride, and the blessings of her family. She counted her friends as her most valuable earthly treasures. Through her battle with cancer, it was her fondest desire for her family and friends to see her faith and understand that, whatever happened, she trusted God's plan for her and was accepting of the outcome. She leaves a legacy of loyalty, faith, and an example of living for Christ.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Dorcas Brashear. She is survived by her four sons: Jeffrey and his wife, Laura, of Tucson, AZ; Dr. Gregory Kier and his wife Angela of Pittsburgh; Scott Kier and Brian Kier of Charleston, SC., and two grandchildren, Jacob Kier and Samantha Kier of Tucson. Also survived by her sister Marlene McGill of Masontown and Brother Paul Brashear and his wife Beverly of Geneva, Ohio. And her loving Nieces and Nephew.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday Sept. 25, 2009 at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home , 524 N. Main Street Greensburg from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM in the Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodland Road, Greensburg with Rev. Stephen LaSor officiating.
In lieu of flowers Donna's family wishes memorial donations be made in her memory to either the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Maplewood Presbyterian Church.
