Donna Mediate

Donna Jean Mediate, 77, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Kathryn (DeMaria) Emerick. She met her husband, Anthony, in 1957, and they were married Nov. 5, 1960. Donna Jean had been employed by JC Penney and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Vincent Michael; her special grandfather, Michael DeMaria; sisters, Lois and Mary Margaret; and a niece, Anarene. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Mediate; three children, Rocco Mediate and wife, Jessica, Nicole Maria Leavy and husband, Peter, and Gina Marie Mediate; six grandchildren, Rocco Vincent, Nicco, Marco, Blake, Logan and Francesca; a niece, Kathy Vernau and husband, Jack, and a great-nephew, Justin; a Brother in law Joseph and wife Donna, nephews Joe Mediate and wife Stephanie, Marc Mediate and wife Heather, great nephews Jacob and Owen and great nieces Camryn and Caitlin. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Prayers of transfer will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by Donna Jean's funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
