Dorcas Singley

June 17, 1914 — December 6, 2010

Dorcas Johnson Singley, 96 of Greensburg passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at her home.

She was born Wednesday, June 17, 1914 in Latrobe, Daughter of the late Robert W. and Caroline Briel Johnson.
Dorcas was a graduate of Seton Hill College class of 1936 and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg and the P.E.O.. She was an accomplished musician and pianist starting at an early age of 5 with music lessons.
She later had taught piano lessons for many years.
Dorcas was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband Luther S. Singley in 2006.

Surviving are her loving children Bob S. Singley and wife Wendy of San Francisco, Ca., Kathy Whitehead and husband Don of Pittsburgh, Ginny German and husband Steve of Boise, Idaho and Kevin Singley and wife Arlene of Princeton, N.J. along with her seven grandchildren Rachel Jones and husband Casey, Nora Singley, Emily and Stephanie German, Sarah, Andrew and Grace Singley and two twin great grandchildren Charlotte and Oliver Jones.

Family and Friends will be received Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street Greensburg.

Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 South Main Street Greensburg Sunday at 1:30 PM with Rev. Martin Ankrum officiating. (Everyone please go directly to the church)
Interment will follow in the Unity Cemetery.
