Doris Jean Chaffee

Doris Jean Topper Chaffee, 58 of Greensburg, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 8, 2024. She was born May 27, 1966 in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Dale C. and Sharon E. (Harr) Topper. Doris is a Certified Nursing Assistant. Until recently she worked as the HR Director for Heartland Hospice. She was currently working as a med tech at Ridgeview Personal Care home where she's been working for many years. She loved the residents and always went above and beyond while caring for them. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and furbabies, Lucky, Sur Waddles, and Leah. Doris was bold, loving, and outspoken so you always knew what she was thinking. This along with a great sense of humor made her fun to be around. She will be remembered as kind, caring, hardworking, and as a person who lit up a room. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Steven R. Chaffee; sisters, Denise Trout and Debbie Mickey; niece, Sharon Markovich (Mylo); nephew, Brian J. Trout (Amanda); and great-nephews, Mylo and Brian Markovich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dale R. Topper; and brother-in-laws, Brian M. Trout and Curtis W. Mickey. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 11 from 2 to 5pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, August 12th from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Pastor David Clement officiating.
