Doris Tapper George, 82 of Greensburg died Friday 10/25/2013 in the Emeritus Personal Care Home in Unity Township.
She was born in Greensburg on 3/11/1931 and was the daughter of the late Herman and Helen Shipley Tapper.
Doris enjoyed her time spent with the Herminie Senior Center and was a volunteer at the Overly's Country Christmas and Westmoreland Manor for many years. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Paul A. George Sr. and two brothers Herman and Jack Tapper and a sister Norma Charmley and her dear friend Mike.
Surviving are her two children Paul A. (Janet DeVico) George Jr. and Pam (Dan) Fallat , three grandchildren Christie Fallat Kuczinski, Holly (Bobby) Pichtel and Alex George and three great grandchildren Adam, Monica and June, and her seven siblings, Eleanor Young, Paul Tapper, Jim (Shirley)Tapper, Lee Riddle, Bob Tapper, Don (Karen) Tapper and Carol (Pio) Dwyer.
Family and friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
Services will be held in the funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Henry Taliercio of the Word of Life Ministries officiating. Interment will follow in the Harrold Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
