Doris Carol Brown Kelley, R.N., 84 of Greensburg passed away, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born November 20, 1927 in Luzerne Twp., PA, one of eight children of the late Anne Mae Glass Brown and Levi MacDonald Brown.
Doris was currently a member of First Christian Church of Greensburg and in her lifetime was active as a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, Aqape circle, deaconate board member.
She graduated from Brownsville High School in 1945 and was a 1948 graduate of the former Brownsville General Hospital School of Nursing and was a member of United States Cadet Nursing Corp of Balitmore, MD.
Besides her parents, Doris was preceded in death by sisters, Kathryn 'Kate', Elizabeth 'Bibby', Evelyn, Blanche 'Peg', Geraldine 'Gerry' and brothers, William 'Billy' and Robert 'Bobby' .
Doris is survived by her husband of 63 years, Henry Dewayne Kelley, daughters, Pamela Kelley Vidt (Louis) and Cheryl Kelley Deaner (James); grandchildren, Stacey Vidt, Meghan Vidt, Jessica Deaner Faircloth (Matthew), Matthew Deaner, Christopher Deaner; great-grandchildren, Eli Faircloth, Levi Faircloth, and Brody Faircloth and several nieces and nephews .
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, (an authorized remembrance provider) 524 North Main Street Greensburg, Pennsylvania where services will be held Friday at 10am with Dr. Renny Domske officiating.
Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA
