Doris Mears

Doris J. Mears, 92 of Ligonier formerly of Greensburg passed away, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Bethlen Home.

She was born September 2, 1925 in Greensburg, PA, a daughter of the late Harry Oscar Mears  and Rose Newhouse Mears.

Doris was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greensburg. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics and traveling.

Prior to retirement, she worked as a Bookkeeper  for Laurel Hill Provision.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings,  Harry Mears,  Hazel Sias,  Margretta Troy, Marian Smail; and  Louis Mears; niece, Janet Davis; nephews, Ray Mears and Clayton Mears; and special friend, Charles Wright.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Bruce Mears of Virginia, Lois Jones (Tom) of Greensburg, Janie Orazi (Vince) of Virginia, Carol Tullio (David) of Scottdale, Vicki Morgan (Keith) of Montana, Susan Mains (Dale) of Latrobe, Jeffrey Smail (Carol) of Pennsylvania, Malcolm Sias (Patti) of Greensburg, and Marc Troy (Rose) of Latrobe.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.

Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 9:30am until the time of service at 10:30am with Pastor Larry Kemp officiating.

Interment will follow in the Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
