Doris J. Smalley, 82 of Greensburg, died unexpectedly, December 30, 2017 as a result of a vehicle accident in Lock Haven, PA. She was born November 23, 1935 in Greensburg a daughter of the late Willis and Juliette (Peterson) Walthour.
Prior to her retirement, Doris had been employed as a receptionist in the office of Dr. Nasier. She had previously worked in the accounting office of the former Bell Telephone Company. Doris was a caring and active member of Grace Baptist Church, Greensburg where she was a member of the choir and participated in many activities through the years. Unknown to many, she was very artistic and took great pleasure in the family tradition of Thanksgiving crafts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Smalley.
She is survived by her loving husband, Philip L. Smalley; her daughter, Tammy R. Albers and her husband, Brent; her son, Pastor Greg L. Smalley and his wife Christine; seven grandchildren, Eric Albers; Stephanie Smith (Zach); Jeffrey Trojan (Jessica); Chelsea Albers; Amber Smalley; Brad Smalley and Alyssa Smalley; and three great-grandchildren to be born this year which she was looking forward to; her siblings, Dick Walthour (Claire); Rev. Fred Walthour (Linda) and Sally McMahan (Merril) and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Doris on Saturday, January 6 from 10 am until the hour of her funeral service at 1 pm in GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 4463 State Route 136, Greensburg, with Pastor Victor Koshir officiating.
