Dorothea S. Reid, 97, died peacefully Saturday, May 3, 2014, in Westmoreland Manor. She was born Aug. 16, 1916, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late William and Louise (Kreml) Stuchlik. Dorothea was the last surviving member of her generation and was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Harry A.; son, William H.; sister, Helen Hatch; and brother, William. She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Reid) Paulone, and husband, Donald, of Hempfield Township; and son, James A. Reid, and wife, Susan, of Minneapolis, Minn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David, Michael, and Stephen Paulone and Larissa, Scott and Kelsey Reid; as well as six great-granddaughters. Dorothea was a graduate of Northwestern University and taught elementary school before becoming the best full time mother a child could ever ask for. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Westmoreland Manor staff for the loving care and comfort they gave Dorothea during her more than six years of residency there. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to be made to the American Cancer Society -- Lung Cancer Research. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. (Everyone please go directly to church) Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery. Terence L.
