Dorothy Knopsnyder

Dorothy Jolene (Jolly) Knopsnyder, 60, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, with her husband, Paul David Knopsnyder, whom she has been married to for 39 years, at her side.

Dorothy was born Jan. 23, 1954, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Jacob and Elva Walker Curtis. She retired from the PT Group, Greensburg, after many years of loyal service. Most recently, she enjoyed being a volunteer at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was a longtime active member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and new puppy, Barney. She was a very strong, caring and compassionate person, whom will be deeply missed by all the lives she has touched.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Klimchock; and her brother, Dale Curtis. In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by her son, Paul Ryan Knopsnyder and wife, Jennifer; her daughter, Mandy Carlucci and her husband, Justin; her grandchildren, Brett and Lily Carlucci; a brother, Kenneth Curtis and wife, Nancy; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Additional viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Greensburg, with the funeral service to follow.

Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
