Dorothy Ohr

Dorothy J. Ohr, 85, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in Redstone Highlands. She was born Feb. 27, 1926, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Elizabeth J. (Roberts) Buzzard. Dorothy was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and sister to her family.

She was a member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church, Greensburg, WELCA of the church, the Alwine Civic Association and the Thimble Sisters. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and was said to have won the "last pot." She enjoyed puzzles, bird watching and was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Ohr Jr.; and a son-in-law, Robert Hoffman.

She is survived by her loving family; a daughter, Gerry Hoffman, and son, Donald Ohr and wife, Ann, all of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Vinton Hoffman and wife Terri, Todd Hoffman, Beth Kutrifus and husband Paul, and Kelly Vuick and husband Steve; seven great-grandchildren, Kassandra, Jordan and Shelby Kutrifus, Nicholas and Corrina Vuick, and Hayley and Sydney Hoffman; a sister, Betty Klingensmith, of Greensburg; and a few nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, (an Authorized Remembrance Provider), where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Paul Gruesu officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.
