Dorothy Thornblade

Dorothy M. Thornblade, 94, formerly of Southwest Greensburg, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1918 in Southwest Greensburg and was a daughter of the late Edward and Johanna Larson Thornblade.
Dorothy was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church and was a former Secretary, Sunday School Teacher and member of the former Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Southwest Greensburg. She was a retired Executive Secretary for Bell Telephone Company with 42 years of service.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Thornblade and sisters, Edna Thornblade, Julia Thornblade, Ruth Brigaman, and Mildred Wolfe, and a niece, Patricia Woodrow. Dorothy is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring her wishes there will be no public visitation and a private service was held by her family.
Interment took place in her family plot in St. Clair Cemetery.
