E. Gerry Long, 85, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, in the Hempfield Manor. She was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Greensburg, and was the daughter of the late Philip L. and Helen Tinsley Young. Gerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greensburg and had sung in the choir for 69 years. She also was a member of the William E. Gelston Chapter No. 435 O.E.S. and a volunteer for many years at Westmoreland Hospital. She was a retired employee of Henry Printing Company in Greensburg. Gerry was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, William T. Long, and an infant son. Surviving are her children, Carolyn L. Schleicher and husband, Don, and David W. Long and wife, Cindy; four grandchildren, Leslie Fink and husband, Justin, Christopher Schleicher and fiancee, Suzanne Dinello, Jeffrey Schleicher, and fiancee, Leah Willochell and Steven Long and fiancAC. Stefanie Dell; great-grandson, Jack Fink; her sister, Carolyn McCampbell and husband, Roy; and nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, with Rev. Steve Morse, officiating. Private interment will be in the St. Clair Cemetery. Members of Eastern Star Chapter 435 will conduct services at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 2 E. 2nd St., Greensburg, PA 15601. Terence L. Graft, funeral director, entrusted with the arrangements.
