Edna Brandt

Edna Mae (Kennedy) Brandt, 82, of Greensburg (Unity Township), passed away Wednesday, August, 16, 2017 in Hempfield Manor.  She was born in Greensburg on April 18, 1935, a daughter of Richard and Pauline (Kness) Kennedy.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg.  She was secretary and member of Junior O.U.A.M. #169, past member and sovereign protector of the Dames of Malta and past member of the Harrold Grange.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Brandt in 2012 and her son Jeffrey A. Brandt in 1987.  She is survived by her sons, Paul H. Brandt of Greensburg and Scott D. Brandt and his partner N.M. Fischer of Pittsburgh; a brother, Robert W. Kennedy of Washington; 3 nieces and a nephew.  Family and friends will be received on Saturday from Noon until the hour of service at 3 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Private burial will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 112 Washington Place, #1520, Pittsburgh, PA 15719 or to an animal rescue organization of one’s choice.  For online condolences, please visit www.kepplegraft.com
