Edward Skene "Ned" Bair, 72, of Greensburg, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital. He was born April 4, 1952 in Greensburg, PA a son of the late Donald Skene and Sarah Newmyer Bair. Ned had a long career as an insurance broker with Bair and Brown, Bair Helman Tracy and McDowell Associates. Throughout his life he served on the board of the Central Westmoreland United Way, St. Clair Cemetery, and the West Point Little League Association. He loved coaching his sons' little league baseball and coached several teams over the years, including managing the District 26 little league champions. Ned enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Yankanuck club in Ontario, Canada. He was also a golfer and was a member at Greensburg Country Club, Hannastown Golf Club and Ligonier Country Club over the years. Ned enjoyed bocce and played in the Mountain View bocce league with some of his closest friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Tina) Valore Bair.Surviving are his three sons, Nathan Patrick Bair and wife, Claire, Edward Shane Bair and wife, Jenny, and Patrick Skene Bair; grandchildren, Sophia, Luca, Carson, and Levi; sister, Susan Morelli and husband, Mark, brothers, Donald "Skene" Bair and wife, Vickie and William "Bill" Bair and wife, Sue; stepmother, Carolyn "Sis" Bair, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 12th from 3 to 8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral 300 N. Main Street, Greensburg. EVERYONE IS TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Private interment will be in St. Clair Cemetery. The family has asked that flowers be omitted and contributions to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County or to one's favorite charity.
