Edward E. Crum, 87 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010 in New Haven Court Nursing Home, Hempfield Twp.
He was born March 19, 1923 in Mt. Pleasant, a Son of the late Oliver and Maude Fultz Crum.
Edward was an Avid Gardner who loved planting his garden and giving his fresh food to friends and neighbors.
He was a retired employee for the General Motors Corp. in West Mifflin and was a US Army Veteran having served during World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Crum , three brothers, Russell, Jess, and Carl Crum and three sisters, Mabel Crum, Ruth Moffatt and Florence Benson.
Surviving are a Daughter, Dolores Arendas and husband Thomas of Greensburg, Two Grandchildren, Lisa Gordon and husband Robert, and Stacey Templeton and husband James, and four Great-Grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ian Gordon, and James and Livia Templeton.
Family and friends will be received 9-11 AM Wednesday at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Inc.
524 North Main St.,Greensburg.
A Private funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Stradling officiating.
Private Interment will be in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of New Haven Court and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion when caring for Ed.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive Delmont, PA 15626-1607 in his memory.
